Synopsis

10 years ago in the Novocoyan region, two trainers reached the pinnacle of achievement by earning all 8 gym badges, set to battle for the title of the first Novocoyan Champion. However, when the decisive match arrived, one trainer failed to show, leaving the title to be claimed by default. This anticlimactic outcome left the region’s inhabitants deeply disappointed, having anticipated a legendary showdown.

Now, a decade later, a new generation of trainers is rising to take on the gym challenge once more. But strange lights have begun to appear in the sky, and some trainers are mysteriously wielding creatures they claim are not Pokémon. Where do these creatures come from? And how will they impact the path of the new challengers vying for the Champion’s title?

Some Context

10 years ago, I (Corbitto) posted my first ROM hack, Rice of Fakemon (accidentally misspelled, later renamed Crossed Universe). The hack was developed in binary, but over time, I faced too many bugs, incompatibilities, backups, and other issues that became overwhelming. Eventually, I decided to suspend the project indefinitely.

However, a few months ago, I revisited it using the decompiled version. As I learned more about how it worked, I realized that the first beta of my hack, just as I had envisioned it, was achievable. After months of work, I’m proud to say that the first beta is finally complete!

There are two versions of the game:

Explicit Version: Features local humor, dirty jokes, and some rude language.
All Ages Version: Contains lighter jokes, with rudeness and inappropriate content censored for a more toned-down experience.
