Pokémon: Cool Spot version’s final update has cranked the coolness up to 7! Pokémon: SUPER Cool Spot version is a complete overhaul of the original ROMhack. Expanded areas of Hoenn, brand-new Pokémon and legendaries, a new story and boss battles, plus a new postgame, Pokémon SUPER cool spot version is truly the COOLEST romhack, now even moreso! Get yourself a tall bottle or can of 7-Up and experience a brand-new, SUPER cool adventure across a remixed Hoenn with the COOLEST 90s soda mascot of all time!
Cool New Pokémon!
The SUPER Cool Spot version introduces over 60 new Pokémon and regional 7-Up variants, including the iconic Cool Spot! There are 386 unique Pokémon to catch across the Hoenn region, with a completely new distribution unlike the original game, and all 386 can be obtained in a single playthrough! New attacks are also introduced, including Mandibite, a powerful Bug-type attack, and the devastating 7-Up Beam!
Cool New Story!
Set briefly after the events of Pokémon: Emerald, the SUPER Cool Spot version follows your battle with Team Coke and Team Pepsi, who seek to destroy 7-Up and force innocent people to drink cola! Strange things have been going on at the Pokémon League in Ever Grande City, and it is up to you to save Hoenn and, more importantly, 7-Up. Search the region for all 7 ancient Cool Balls and meet a new set of Gym Leaders and Elite Four, each with different teams and a higher difficulty!
Cool New Areas!
Hoenn has expanded! Explore new areas such as the Carbonated Woods, Uncola Mountain, the expanded Fiery Path and New Mauville, and the mysterious Cave of Coolness, among many others! Many NPCs have fun new dialogue changes and new teams throughout the game! Meet a colorful new cast of characters who can either help or oppose you! There’s also new postgame content and explanations for Hoenn’s many mysteries! In addition to Steven, there are three other super bosses scattered around the world! Have fun exploring!
Cool New Features!
A whole plethora of quality-of-life changes has been added to SUPER Cool Spot version! Including:
- Player characters now wear COOL Sunglasses!! So does Nurse Joy!
- Reusable TMs and deleteable HMs
- New Gym Leaders and Bosses!
- A whole set of new, cool 7-Up and Cool Spot-themed items!
- Purchaseable Important items such as Exp. Share, Lucky Egg, Heart Scales, and cheaper Vitamins
- Pokemon have an EV limit of 252, and no longer have a limit on the amount of vitamins they can take!
- Evolution Stones available for purchase at the Lilycove Dept. Store
- Over 40 new custom music tracks across the game for your listening pleasure!
- Increased Difficulty
- All 386 Pokémon obtainable in a single playthrough
- A Black Market area for Exp./Money Grinding, EV Training, and Buyable Rare Candies for those who want an extra boost!
- HMs are usable without need for badges (must be activated through the Pokémon menu instead of the overworld)
- Cut and Flash are completely unnecessary. No cave requires Flash and Trees necessary for accessing areas and items have been replaced by Sudowoodo fights
- All Legendaries have been replaced by cool, new Legendaries! Have fun exploring!
- Start with the national Pokédex!
- Cool Spot and 7-Up themed PC Boxes and Text box themes!
- HUD and UI items now feature Cool Spot! Exp is now Cool Points and HP is now the 7-Up meter!
- Cool Spot-themed Secret Base items!
- Unlimited Safari Zone steps!
- Poison no longer damages you outside of battle!
- No more red health beeping
- New Pokemon now have shiny pallettes!

Q: Will you include IV, Ability, or Nature-changing features?
A: No! I am finished updating this game outside of bug fixes, but these features are planned for my next hack!

Q: How soon can I get to the Black Market?
A: It is possible to reach the black market as soon as you’ve delivered the devon goods to Steven in Dewford.

A: I am currently working on a playlist for both the game’s OST and song references, will update as I progress on that!
