Pokemon Resolute Pokemon Locations & Other Info

Pokemon Resolute

If you’re looking for Pokemon Resolute Pokemon Locations, we’ve got you completely covered! This is provided by Olivia R:

Pokemon Resolute is a GBA Rom Hack made by Wind1158 based on Pokemon Emerald. It was last updated on June 8, 2021 and is available to download.

Pokemon Resolute v.278 Pokemon locations + other info by Olivia R. (note this is a ROM hack, I do not own this and will not distribute this hack, but I am the author of this guide so if you use it credit me). As a reminder, you need a clean Pokemon Emerald ROM (please Google it), a patching utility like Lunar IPS and a GBA Emulator (I used VBA) to play Pokemon Resolute (you can also google a pre-patched rom too).

Because Allen Ceedos has a full walkthrough, I will not be doing one for this hack, but I will link it here. This guide covers mostly general info, including stuff that may have been missed in that walkthrough as well as any hidden items found, evolution changes, mega evolutions, and most importantly the Pokemon locations, which are absent from that walkthrough.

GENERAL INFO

If you play as male, you will have a Riolu as your starter. If you play as female, you will have a Mienfoo as your starter. You can get the other starter when you receive the Tyron Ticket.

Allen’s guide mentions that the first time you face the Vice Leader, the mons she has are Shelmet, Ponyta, and Mienfoo. That’s if you’re playing as a male. If you are playing as a female, the vice leader will be the male lead Logan and he will actually have Karrablast, Growlithe, and Riolu.

The second time you battle Logan/Alma, he/she would have Zebstrika/Manectric, Escavalier/Accelgor, Arcanine/Ninetales, and finally Lucario/Mienshao.

The third time you battle they will have the same team plus Honchkrow/Milotic. There are no real changes in the fourth battle in Sky Castle apart from levels and adding Genesect to his/her team. Before you enter the Sylon League, he/she will add Gallade/Gardevoir to his/her team.

Fletchinder’s name is cut off (it shows Fletchinde). Bergmite is spelled Burgmite.

Something weird to note, the post-gen-3 mons reuse cries of the ones they replace. Even more so Electivire (which replaces Tropius) has swapped places with Flygon (which replaces Pinsir). This may be for organizational purposes but I’m unsure.

Fairy type is present and applied to several mons who would have them in Gen-6 and beyond. The exception is the Togepi line, which for some reason remains Normal type and Normal/Flying type for Togetic/Togekiss.

Axew and its evolutionary line are Dragon/Fighting.

Froakie for some reason is Water/Fighting. Frogadier and Greninja are still Water and Water/Dark, respectively.

Rampardos is Rock/Bug for some reason.

Trick House 5th challenge solution: From the entrance, go one space to the right (so you are on the right side of the doorstep), then head north to the first mechadoll. Go just under him and head east until you are due south of the scroll. Two spaces south and two spaces east will get you to the next mechadoll. From him, head east to a rock and north one, then east one. Head north two, west one, north one, west one, north one, west two. You should be two spaces east of the scroll. Two spaces north to a rock, then west four. Head north to the next mechadoll. Move four spaces west, two south, one east, one south, one east, one south, one east, one south, one east, one south, and two east. You should be one space under the scroll. Take it. Backtrack northwest to where the last mechadoll is, then head east to the mechadoll closest to the door. Head to the tile NE of him, then move due NE to get to the scroll door.

In the sixth Trick House challenge, you are supposed to find a piece of the scroll in the water, which is a small dot in the SE corner of the room. You can find several other dots in the water as well, which are actually wild Lv65 Kingler.

Allen’s guide does not mention this, but there’s an eighth Trick House Challenge after you beat the Sylon League. You can find the guy in the SW chair. You’ll need Rock Climb to master this challenge though, so you’ll have to go through Tyron until you get the Toxic Badge at Bronze Port before starting this. It’s actually fairly basic, and there’s no mail item to grab.

Black Belt Kenji: Hitmonlee Lv81, Hitmonchan Lv81, Machamp Lv82, P3280

Hiker Abe: Crustle Lv80, Steelix Lv81, P3240

Battle Girl Kayley: Mienshao Lv79, Haxorus Lv82, P3280

You can choose either the Red Tent or the Blue Tent as your prize at the end of that final Trick House challenge.

In the Abandoned Mine, use the A-332 on a specific crack near the middle and you can get a Skull Fossil.

And speaking of Skull Fossil, I have found out that it resurrects into Archen, instead of Cranidos. Furthermore, the Skull Fossil does not go away, so you can get more Archens from it any time.

Since this hack is basically a sequel to Victory Fire, you’ll be meeting familiar characters from that Tyron region. Notably there’s a few gender differences, so whichever gender you don’t choose ends up being the gym leader of Halfleaf City, while the Victory Fire gender you did pick ends up being “that trainer” that you’ll eventually meet much later on in the Battle Department. I should mention, Iron’s ace in his gym battle is Haxorus, while if you’re fighting Pure in the gym, it’s Garchomp.

Here’s the team for Pure if you’re playing as female and will encounter her in the Battle Department (Iron’s info is on Allen’s guide, also the money reward is still the same):

Azumarill Lv60, Ninetales Lv60, Musharna Lv60, Klefki Lv60, Florges Lv60, Umbreon Lv60

I believe that Greenland Cave will have either Axew or Gible depending on your gender, just like in Victory Fire. The one which you cannot find in the cave is given as a prize along with the Johto Ticket.

Allen’s guide mentions that Fisherman Shrek has two Quagsires and a Kingler. He actually has only one Quagsire, the second mon he has is Qwilfish.

In New Bark Town, you can heal your mons in Elm’s Lab by interacting with the machine in the NW corner.

When you can enter the gate to the Nobely’s Mansion, you’ll have Elijah and Expert S appearing behind you. This is mentioned in Allen’s guide when you want to get Lugia, however what he didn’t mention was that you have to battle Elijah after the conversation. His team and prize money are the same as when you battle him during the Random Trainers Tournament.

For the Whirl Islands that are not the top right island (which leads to Lugia), I found a Calcium and an Escape Rope in the two southern island caves, as well as a Carbos, two Full Restores, a Nugget, and an Ultra Ball in the NW cave.

GLITCH: Tepig’s cry and Diglett’s cry are silent.

GLITCH: During the quest on Carmine Isle, I noticed that one of the Neo Mirage Grunts used a Leftovers in battle as if it was an X Special. I have no idea why and how this happened. This would later happen again with a “Neo Mirage Non” in Dragon’s Den, where he’d use a Hard Stone at the beginning as if it was an X Attack.

GLITCH: I bred Tyranitar at the Day Care and the egg for some reason hatches into Mega Tyranitar. I’m not sure if other mons with mega-evolutions have this issue.

GLITCH: Once you can use Rock Climb, you may be tempted to backtrack to places that require it. The Rock Climbing spots in Golden Desert and Eastern Street, however, will not allow you to use Rock Climb on them for some reason to get the items. I used the Walk Through Walls code and found out the item on Eastern Street is a Sacred Ash, while the item in Golden Desert actually softlocks the game.

GLITCH: After triggering the cutscene inside Halfleaf Cave, I used an Escape Rope and instead of appearing at the entrance to the cave as normal, I somehow wound up inside Redwood Flower Shop.

GLITCH: Several locations in Johto lock you out of several menu options, namely the Pokedex, PokeNav, and Bag options, as well as prevent switching Pokemon in the Pokemon menu. This happens in Route 31, Cherrygrove Town, and New Bark Town. If you enter a building in the towns or another location the menu options will return. Also at some point after Mahogany Town, the game thinks you are in the Safari Zone. Use the Retire option to no longer deal with this menu.

GLITCH: You can walk through the sink and refrigerator in Ethan’s House in New Bark Town.

GLITCH: Two of Route 26’s trainers will always want to battle you, even after you have already defeated them.

GLITCH: After getting the Rainbow Wing, I had to rematch Morty in order to enter Bell Tower, as the guy at the entrance wouldn’t let me go through. There are several other events, mostly in Johto, that for some reason get reset after you load a file save, such as in the Ruins of Alph and such.

EVOLUTION CHANGES

Grubbin evolves into Charjabug at Lv16 instead of Lv20. It then evolves into Vikavolt at Lv23 instead of by Thunderstone or otherwise.

Munna evolves into Musharna at Lv15, instead of by Moon Stone (just like in Victory Fire).

Inkay evolves into Malamar at Lv18.

Fomantis evolves into Lurantis at Lv28.

Combee I think evolves into Vespiquen at Lv32, although I saw a forum post that said it evolves at Lv34 instead. Also I am unsure if gender has something to do with its evolution.

Karrablast and Shelmet both evolve at Lv35. I don’t think you need to have both in the party to evolve them either.

Clauncher evolves into Clawitzer at Lv40 instead of Lv37.

I’m unsure when Piloswine evolves into Mamoswine, but I think it is at Lv40 (it was Lv40 in Victory Fire).

Feebas evolves into Milotic at Lv50.

Blitzle evolves into Zebstrika at Lv30.

Fraxure evolves into Haxorus at Lv60.

Gible evolves into Gabite at Lv35, then into Garchomp at Lv60

Porygon evolves into Porygon2 at Lv40

Clamperl evolves at Lv45. If its attack is higher than its defense, then it will evolve into Huntail. Otherwise if its defense is higher, it will evolve into Gorebyss.

Boldore evolves into Gigalith at Lv42 (I think?)

Electabuzz evolves into Electivire at Lv50, while Magmar evolves into Magmortar at Lv48.

I forgot exactly when Happiny evolves, but the good news is that if you catch it, which is usually at Lv60+ in Fairy Forest, you can evolve it by just one level right away. You still need high friendship to evolve Chansey into Blissey.

According to the PokeCommunity thread, Snorunt can evolve into Froslass if its base attack stats are higher than its base defense stats, otherwise it evolves into Glalie. I am still unsure how to evolve Snorunt, and I had this issue with Wind1158’s last hack Victory Fire. Normally it would be at Lv42, but I’ve tried that, evolution stones, and high friendship and have had no success.

Mienfoo evolves into Mienshao at Lv44, I think. Either that or high friendship.

With the exception of Haunter, the Kanto trade evolutions (Graveler, Machoke, Kadabra) evolve with high friendship. Haunter evolves into Gengar at Lv50.

High friendship is also the way to evolve Seadra into Kingdra, Aipom into Ambipom, and Scyther into Scizor.

I evolved Ledyba to Ledian around Lv28. Which is actually above Ledyba’s original evolution level. I think it evolves with high friendship during the daytime but I’m uncertain.

Murkrow evolves into Honchkrow the same way more or less from Victory Fire, high friendship during the daytime.

Doublade evolves into Aegislash via Moon Stone.

Sneasel evolves into Weavile via Moon Stone.

Poliwhirl evolves into Politoed via Moon Stone.

Alolan Vulpix evolves into Alolan Ninetales via Moon Stone.

Porygon2 evolves into Porygon-Z via Sun Stone

Kirlia can evolve into Gallade via Sun Stone, I don’t think gender will play a factor in evolution here either.

Togetic evolves into Togekiss via Sun Stone.

Roselia evolves into Roserade via Sun Stone.

Slowpoke evolves into Slowking via Sun Stone.

Magneton evolves into Magnezone via Thunderstone.

Pumpkaboo evolves into Gourgeist via Leaf Stone.

For Eevee-S’s Eeveelutions, use a Moon Stone for Glaceon, Sun Stone for Sylveon, and (obviously) a Leaf Stone for Leafeon.

Both of Meloetta’s forms are stone evolutions. To go to Pirouette form, use a Sun Stone, then to revert back to normal form, use a Moon Stone.

HIDDEN ITEMS

In Cloud Forest, go west of the Trick House and examine the empty spaces in the grass to find a hidden Great Ball and a hidden Super Potion. To the south, near Bug Catcher Corey, is a hidden Revive.

A hidden Revive is located north of the Nanab berry patch on Peace Way. A clearing to the south of Cooltrainer Mymo has a hidden Poke Ball. A bit east of PKMN Breeder Daisy is a hidden Great Ball.

On the part of Carmine Isle where you find tall grass, head west of Hiker Ned and a bit north. The space without grass contains a hidden Leftovers.

Once you get Surf, return to Grass Path and go to the bridge between the water ponds. Surf northwest to a section of land where you can find a hidden Heart Scale on the east side of the land.

At Brown Lake, surf towards the middle island with the cave, then east to the land with the grass patch. Surf a bit southeast and you can find a Big Pearl hidden within the trees.

At Celeste Path, surf east of Swimmer Kayu and land on the island. The rocks both contain a Heart Scale. An Ether can be found on the east side of the island too.  On the north island on the route, there is a Great Ball and a Revive to find. The east side of the island has a hidden Heart Scale too.

When you can dive, do so at the Bluish Path. In addition to the Calcium and Heart Scale in the main walkthrough, you can find a Green Shard, a Carbos, another Heart Scale, a Pearl, and a Big Pearl hidden underwater.

On Maize Road, east of Cooltrainer Tammy, you can find a hidden Full Heal in a clearing in the grass. There’s an Ultra Ball inside a rock further on, west of an empty berry patch. A Max Ether is in a clearing in the grass north of the rest house. A Calcium is located a bit south from PKMN Ranger Donovan.

In the first League Passage of Victory Way, east of Expert Tara, the Itemfinder tells you an item is at the east wall, however I was unable to pick up any item despite this. In the second League Passage area (the one with the water and Nurse Joy), one of the northeast corners has a Max Repel.

On Eastern Street, head east from where the Crustles are, then head south to the corner. Just before you turn right, press A in front of the corner to get a hidden Heart Scale. Also on Eastern Street, head west from the guy who’s lost his glasses and behind the buildings to find a PP Up.

In Rumors Forest, head west of the Marble City entrance and south. The clearing in the SW corner has a hidden Heart Scale. Head south of Bug Catcher Humberto and inspect the lone flower in the middle of the grass for another hidden Heart Scale. Head SW of Artist Clarence and inspect a flower there to get another hidden Heart Scale.

On Navel Path, when you reach the first body of water, surf NW to find an HP Up. There is a hidden item east of that one, behind the trees. This item is a Stardust. If you cross the larger lake at the north end of Navel Path, inspect the rock at the SW end to find a Protein. At the east side of the large lake, if you use your Itemfinder, it will detect an item to the east. Unfortunately this item is not accessible without using the Walk Through Walls code, but it’s a Rare Candy if you must know.

In Heat Passage, head south of Lass Isobel, and at the dead-end you find, you can get a hidden Full Heal.

This isn’t a hidden item per se, but Allen forgot to mention it in his walkthrough. Talk to the old man in the Bronze Port PokeMart to get TM45 Attract.

In the Mt Skywall cave entrance from High Edge Falls, the full walkthrough mentions a hidden location accessible with the A-223 that has a Star Piece. This isn’t the only one though. Another one is a bit east of that (basically on the same level as the cave entrance, if you head west). This one contains a Moon Stone.

In Darkgreen Path, there is a clearing in the grass where Beauty Jessica is. You can find a Nugget in that clearing. Behind the fence to the south, you can pick up an HP Up.

In Cloud Meadow, surf just east of the north edge of the lake and land in the snow behind the trees. There’s TM26 Earthquake waiting, and it’s easy to miss. Now head to the SW part of the lake, and at the west end of a small strip of land you can find a hidden Revive. The rock at the south end of the grassy part contains a Carbos.

At High Path, after using Rock Climb, head a bit east and north. Before the next set of steps, use the Itemfinder to find a Super Potion somewhere near these steps.

On Pine Path, at the section just outside the furniture market near Pinearoma Villa, go up the steps to the rocks, and then to the small section to the south of those rocks, to the left of the trees, where you can find a hidden Revive. Get through the Mt Skywall portion to the east to the other side, and the first rock you find contains a Rare Candy. The one SW of it contains a Super Repel.

A hidden Zinc can be found east of Rainbow Rock’s entrance. Just enter the grass and go to the end of it to find it. At the north end of Rainbow Path, head into the NE grass patch to find a hidden Revive.

After going through Holy Karst Cave and reaching the other part of Marble Grassland, head east of Sergio, behind the trees, and collect a hidden Repel.

In the section of High Path reached from Mt Skywall, head NW of Cooltrainer Imakuni to find a Blackglasses.

As you approach Mt Skywall’s summit, head west of the summit entrance and towards the trees for a hidden Ultra Ball. At the summit area, take the left set of steps towards a grass patch and search for a hidden Zinc. Go up the steps to the north and head east, then behind a tree to find a hidden Rare Candy.

The area behind the tree that you can Cut in Violet City has a Heart Scale.

In Route 29, head for the NE corner behind the trees to pick up a Potion.

Enter the tree maze in the Lake of Rage and go right at the first fork, then north at the second. At the dead end you can pick up a hidden Elixir. At the NE end you can find TM43 Secret Power.

As you can see, I’m quite surprised with several mons that come by fishing, such as Zorua, Miltank, Blitzle, and Zebstrika. I’m thinking it’s a glitch or a leftover of some sort, although these mons do share cries with water types from the original Gen-3 games, I could not figure out how to evolve Snorunt into either Glalie or Froslass. No stone evolutions worked, and neither friendship nor high levels worked either. I don’t know how to get a Skull Fossil to be revived into Cranidos (It seems like the Skull Fossil key item replaces the Meteorite, thus it doesn’t get used up). For some reason the fossil guy can allow you to revive multiple Archens with the Skull Fossil, so I could not get it to become Cranidos by any means. Castform seems to not be in any specific area whatsoever.

Other’s I’m missing: full Pokemon locations for Mt Skywall’s road to the summit as well as Dead Volcano.

Anyways, that’s pretty much it for this guide. If anyone can offer any help for finding Castform, or evolve Snorunt or revive Cranidos, it would be highly appreciated.
