Story
Initiated in May, this innovative venture traces its origins back to the creative endeavors of spriter and artist DazzyDeer. At its inception, DazzyDeer embarked on a unique artistic undertaking, crafting a Fakemon dex inspired by randomly generated prompts within the confines of the “QuarantineDex” project on 4chan’s /vp/.
The primary objective of this project was to derive positivity from the challenging global quarantine circumstances. Initially, the project had a modest scope, centered around the substitution of Generation 2’s roster with Fakemon creations. However, over time, the initiative gained momentum, incorporating additional features such as the implementation of the phys/spec split.
What began as an individual endeavor evolved into a collaborative effort, drawing contributions from anonymous participants on /vp/ who generously shared minisprites, assets, and more. Immerse yourself in a meticulously crafted region teeming with an entirely new array of Pokemon, each waiting to be discovered as you navigate through this ever-expanding world!
